Thata Tyres is a commercial tyre business built around one job: getting a stopped truck moving again, whatever time it stopped.

Most tyre companies fit tyres and answer breakdowns when they can. Thata is built the other way round. The breakdown desk is the centre of the business, and everything else — the stock we carry, the branches we run, the hours we keep — is arranged around being able to answer it.
We operate from Meyerton, supplying new truck tyres and retreads and fitting them on the roadside, in customer yards and at the depot gate. Our technicians work on trucks and trailers all day, which is why they are quick on a wheel that has been standing hot on the freeway at two in the morning.

We ask for the tyre size and the vehicle up front, so the technician arrives with the right tyre already on the bakkie.
Every call-out gets a reference, a job card and a record of the tyres fitted and the casings taken in. Nothing is settled by memory.
A casing that cannot be retreaded is scrapped and said so. We would rather lose the retread than sell a tyre that fails on the road.
Counted from the live job book, not typed in by hand.
Call the breakdown line or send your location on WhatsApp with the truck registration and the tyre size. A technician is dispatched from the nearest point of cover.
